Avoid abrasive pads, metal scrapers, harsh powders, or aggressive chemicals that may scratch or damage glass, coatings, seals, or nearby finishes.
Shower Doors & Enclosures
KEEP WATER SPOTS UNDER CONTROL
Regular maintenance is especially important for shower glass because soap residue and minerals can accumulate over time.
After showering:
- Use a squeegee to remove excess water.
- Leave the enclosure ventilated whenever possible.
- Wipe hardware and glass edges periodically.

Glass Railings
Glass railings should be cleaned periodically to maintain their transparency and architectural appearance.
Use mild soap, water, and a soft cloth for both the glass and accessible hardware.

Mirrors
CLEAN WITHOUT DAMAGING THE EDGES
Apply cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying excessive liquid directly onto the mirror.
This helps prevent moisture from accumulating around edges, joints, or behind the mirror.
Avoid:
- Excessive water around mirror edges
- Abrasive cleaners
- Rough sponges
- Chemicals that may affect backing, adhesives, or surrounding finishes
Dry the mirror with a clean microfiber cloth for a streak-free finish.
Office Partitions & Glass Doors
Interior glass walls, doors, and partitions can generally be maintained with routine glass cleaning.
Pay special attention to:
- Handles
- Hinges
- Door closers
- Tracks
- Frames
- Connection points
Keep moving components free from dirt and debris.
If a door begins rubbing, closing incorrectly, or operating differently than usual, avoid forcing the system and contact our team for inspection.
Sliding Glass Systems
Tracks are essential to the performance of sliding systems.
Keep tracks clean and free from dust, sand, and debris that could affect movement.

Wine Doors & Wine Cellars

Do not modify seals, hinges, frames, or glass components without professional evaluation, as changes may affect the enclosure's performance.
Hardware & Metal Finishes
Hardware finishes require gentle cleaning to preserve their appearance.
Use a soft damp cloth and mild soap when necessary, then dry thoroughly.
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, steel wool, and rough cleaning tools.
In environments exposed to humidity, salt air, pool chemicals, or other corrosive conditions, more frequent cleaning may be required.
What to Avoid

Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is designed for safety and strength, but its edges and corners remain particularly sensitive to impact.
Never drill, cut, grind, or modify tempered glass after fabrication.
If a glass panel becomes chipped, cracked, or damaged, discontinue use when appropriate and contact ICON GLASS for evaluation.
Coastal & High-Humidity Environments
In South Florida environments, humidity, salt air, and pool chemicals may accelerate residue buildup or affect certain metal finishes.
Regularly rinsing and drying exposed glass and hardware can help maintain their appearance and performance.
More frequent maintenance may be recommended for installations near pools, coastal areas, or exterior environments.
