Warranty

QUALITY YOU CAN COUNT ON

At ICON GLASS, we stand behind the quality of our products, custom fabrication, hardware, and installation services. Our warranty is designed to provide confidence and support throughout the life of your glass system.

Warranty coverage may vary depending on the specific product, material, hardware, manufacturer, application, and service provided.

Warranty Coverage

Depending on the project, warranty coverage may apply to eligible defects related to:

  • Glass fabrication
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Hardware components
  • Installation workmanship
  • System performance
  • Product defects covered by a manufacturer warranty

Specific warranty conditions and coverage periods may be stated in the corresponding:

  • Quote
  • Proposal
  • Invoice
  • Product documentation
  • Manufacturer warranty
  • Project agreement

If you are unsure about the warranty applicable to your project, please contact the ICON GLASS team.

Installation Warranty

When installation is performed by ICON GLASS, warranty coverage may apply to workmanship-related issues within the conditions established for the specific project.

This may include certain issues related to installation, adjustment, alignment, or assembly when determined to be the result of ICON GLASS workmanship.

Warranty coverage does not extend to conditions caused by factors outside the original installation scope.

Product & Manufacturer Warranties

Some glass systems, hardware, accessories, and components may be covered by warranties provided directly by their manufacturers.

Coverage periods and conditions vary by manufacturer and product.

When applicable, ICON GLASS may assist the Customer in identifying or coordinating a manufacturer warranty claim; however, final coverage and remedies may be subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and approval.

What Is Not Covered

Unless otherwise stated in writing, warranty coverage generally does not apply to damage or issues resulting from:

  • Improper use or maintenance
  • Accidents or impact
  • Misuse or negligence
  • Unauthorized alterations or modifications
  • Installation performed by third parties
  • Improper cleaning products or methods
  • Failure to follow care recommendations
  • Structural movement or building settlement
  • Movement of walls, floors, ceilings, or supporting structures
  • Water intrusion unrelated to the installed glass system
  • Defective or unsuitable substrates
  • Corrosion caused by environmental exposure
  • Damage caused by chemicals or abrasive products
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Natural variations in glass or finishes
  • Circumstances beyond the reasonable control of ICON GLASS

Glass Characteristics

Glass is a manufactured material and may present minor visual or dimensional characteristics that are inherent to the fabrication process.

Depending on glass type and production method, these may include slight variations in:

  • Tint
  • Reflection
  • Optical appearance
  • Surface characteristics
  • Edge finish
  • Bow or distortion
  • Dimensions within accepted tolerances

These characteristics are not necessarily considered manufacturing defects.

Hardware & Finishes

Hardware finishes may naturally change over time depending on use, cleaning methods, humidity, environmental exposure, and maintenance.

Installations exposed to coastal air, salt, pools, humidity, or aggressive chemicals may require more frequent maintenance.

Normal aging, wear, or cosmetic changes to finishes are generally not considered warranty defects unless otherwise specified by the applicable manufacturer.

Third-Party Installation

When ICON GLASS supplies products without installation, warranty coverage is generally limited to eligible product or manufacturing defects.

ICON GLASS is not responsible for issues resulting from improper handling, installation, modification, storage, or use by the Customer or another installer.

Professional installation is recommended for custom glass systems.

Custom Products

Because custom glass products are fabricated specifically for each project, warranty coverage does not apply to issues caused by:

  • Incorrect Customer-provided measurements
  • Incorrect specifications provided by third parties
  • Changes made to the site after final measurements
  • Modifications requested after fabrication
  • Installation conditions that differ from those originally provided

If ICON GLASS performs the final measurement and installation, responsibility will be evaluated according to the specific project scope and applicable warranty.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product or installation may qualify for warranty service, please contact ICON GLASS as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

Please provide:

  • Customer name
  • Invoice or project number, when available
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographs or videos
  • Approximate date of installation or purchase
  • Any additional information requested by our team

ICON GLASS may require an inspection before determining whether the condition is covered.

Warranty Evaluation

Each warranty request is reviewed individually.

ICON GLASS will evaluate the product, installation, project documentation, site conditions, maintenance, and circumstances related to the issue.

If the claim is determined to be covered, an appropriate remedy may include:

  • Adjustment
  • Repair
  • Replacement of an eligible component
  • Replacement materials
  • Coordination with the manufacturer
  • Another reasonable corrective solution

The appropriate remedy will depend on the product, service, warranty conditions, and specific circumstances.

Warranty Service

Warranty approval does not automatically include removal, reinstallation, transportation, finishing work, access equipment, or other services unless those services are specifically included in the applicable warranty.

Any work outside warranty coverage may be quoted separately.

Warranty and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are important for preserving the appearance and performance of your glass system.

Failure to properly maintain glass, tracks, hardware, seals, and other components may affect warranty eligibility.

Please refer to our Glass Care recommendations for routine maintenance guidelines.
